DAVIS, WILLIAM (1805–?). William Davis was a prominent planter and slave owner inBurleson County. He was born in Georgia in 1805 and appears in the United States Census of 1860.

He owned 121 slaves and held 900 acres of land on which he raised corn
and


cotton.
